Tonight, for me, the standout songs were ‘Pink’ and ‘Uh Huh’Her songs usually show good pop smarts musically combined with sharp lyrics mostly relating to what life is like for a young woman today – and judging by the crowd’s reactions she captures the joys and pains of this with empathy and insightHer band are a professional, tight unit – who also know how to have fun. They made the whole set a joy to listen to – light and danceableI am not the target audience for JM but this was a very enjoyable gig and JM came across as a likeable, intelligent singer and songwriter who had a real rapport with her audience
